Folksy-folks... my younger brother Paul (whom anyone at Daisho should remember) would like to come along. He can't register for the con (too late isn't it? Plus he doesn't have much munneh and doesn't want to go to it anyway), but he wants to come just to hang out with all of us at the hotel and wherever. He thinks you all are cool. ^_^ He could really use more socializing so I guess that's why he wants to tag along. Just to talk to everyone and play video games and stuff. He's killer at CoD and is a crazy drummer in RB2.  Would anyone have any objections? Annette, you sound off too since he'd be in the car with us, he needs enough leg-room in the back (so would I be able to move my seat forward to accommodate his long legs? Small chance he might want the front, but if the back has ample room he should be ok). Chances are on the trip he'll either be unnoticeable and quiet, or will engage in crazy with us, or intelligent conversation should the mood strike us. Mom can cover his food expenses, not sure about pre-convention hotels though. He can easily sleep on the floor though, he does that voluntarily a lot as long as we give him a blanket n pillow, so we won't need an extra bed at any point for him. Discuss! |

Sooo... you're saying he wants to stay in the hotel while we're out in the convention doing stuffs? I'm just wondering if he'd be okay just staying in the hotel room for Friday and Saturday. Yeah, heck he usually stays in his room locked away from all other living beings anyway, and not everyone goes to con things at the same time so he wouldn't be alone way too long at any given stretch of time. He'd either just sleep or play video games, which is his average day at home anyway.  Except now with folks to talk to and stuff. If there's concern for thievery, well, let's just say that if he were to do such a thing then any of you would be allowed to literally cut off his AND my hands. Seriously. I'm THAT confident that he would never do such a thing. I've left my credit card in his room I dunno how many times, lent him my Paypal password for purchases he paid me back in full for, my parents leave money laying around the house. He has NEVER taken advantage of any of that (as opposed to my older brother who has sticky fingers... @_@ ). Paul gets extremely angry at any form of dishonor or victimization, so the last thing he'd do is violate his own moral code. If anything, he's a marvelous security device.  So aside from the issue of physical space, he'd do no harm. But space is indeed an issue so that's why all must be figured in. (And Sephy's analogy... LOL XD ) |

Looks like I'm going with the Mid-State crew, in the last meeting we had a couple more members register so our group is getting full too. I hope this year they have things set up better so we don't end up waiting in line for hours and hours on end waiting for badges.

Caps Lock = Cruise Control For Cool. Anyways. With wireless intarwubs present... are we going to bring any gaming consoles along with us this year? I figure that Redwolf and/or ZC's bro might bring their systems like we did at Daisho con, I could at least bring my Wireless Adapter for my 360 along with in case we wanted to have some online shenanagins with Halo or what not... assuming the connection is powerful/stable enough to support online play, otherwise we may just piss of alot of people online. Otherwise, considering it is an anime con, I wouldnt be suprised if the wi-fi network at the hotel turns into a giant LAN party at some point. I'm sure we cant be the only people thinking about bringing a system or anything. If anything I might just bring my laptop and make an online blog of the 'festivities' going on at the convention (or let Crono beat his save file of Chrono Trigger I have on here). Let's find who wants to and/or can drive first... Based on previous years, these were our potential drivers/cars. Please state and make your plea whether or not if you can do it this year. Requested by X as of last year, those not chosen to be drivers will still need to be backup pending any sickly disasters. Since there are so few driver possibilities, I default to be one of them... sooo: Current Drivers:
10 guests mean that 3 cars are the minimum we must take (unless uber van appears). Choose wisely. As for Sam/Annette/Paul, they keep their vehicle in town and ride with another car typically. |
