updating my plans. staying with zc and ws thursday night.
also, i'm sorry to say i won't be pitching in for food per say. after the hotel costs and gas to get there, i'm dead broke. the food i can bring is whatever i can get at the campus snack/grocery store with my extra meal points. and since i have no cooler, my options are limited.

Alright. So does this mean we're all going to meet at Crono's house or something before departure?

why move the many when we can move the few? meeting at sephy's/sithius'/redwolf's area might be better. but its not like either is far apart, so i guess it dosnt really make a difference

Alright. So does this mean we're all going to meet at Crono's house or something before departure? Yes, I would like everyone to meet at my house at 8 am Friday primarily for the $73/person (If you'd like to pay $75 for ease, that's fine too). This money is not for me to spend, and I will not be buying much at the con due to a lack of income. This money stays at home for bank depositing and no temptation for spending. - - - The hotel is reserved on my credit card, which will have a zero balance ready for the hotel's $580 and any other related costs. Backup includes my debit card that can be charged like a Credit Card (VISA) and my checking account can support a cash payment. These are backup plans, so no need to discuss them. - - - I am not too worried for food. Beyond little snacks, I am amazed on how many options a person has down the two roads by the hotel. Sithius might be able to bring a microwave as well. Discuss if you still think we need more groceries from Mooly Mart.

In regards to travel specifically. As of 3/30/09's 10-Day Forecast on Weather.com (based on the local zip code, not the con zip code), we should have sunny travel weather Friday when we depart. However, our Sunday travels are indicating a 40% chance of snow showers. Snow showers aren't the worst travel weather we've encountered when returning in years past... like the one year were a tornado touched down not too far behind us, and we were on the edge of the storm most of the way home (and promptly hit by hail the moment we walked into my house). However snow, depending on how much is expected to fall, could affect how early we leave.
Just thought I would give you all an update.

Nice ;D, glad to see you'll be cosplaying; I think that makes 4 of us (assuming that you and Erin both cosplay), including myself and Zacloud, as Cloud, not surprisingly. EDIT: 5 of us, if "Casual Neo" makes an appearance. And no, the jacket will not be the same itchy mess it was at Daishocon. To say that its been improved a bit is an understatement. I still got gluing, cleat coating, and stitching left on my costume before its complete; seems like its a theme on the Detour forums especially that cosplays tend to be finished up at the last minute 90% of the time. @_@ EDIT to food plans: Since it seems the theme this year will be restaurant dining, I'm not going to make the massive expense for a huge sandwich buffet, (as it is seriously expensive). Ill be bringing granola bars in mass, and probably just one loaf of bread and some peanut butter at most. One loaf will make lots of half-sized sandwiches. And also, bottles of water to hydrate a small army. Anyone who knows me, knows that I treat my water supply as SERIOUS BUSINESS. And I MIGHT also bring some liquomaquor as well. That and the granola bars and the bread should be a good contribution to fight off hunger pangs until lunch is located. Sleep well everyone! Detour is 3 days away! And by this time next week, your legs will still be destroyed from the rave.

Well, I'm not sure if I'm gonna cosplay or not; I need to trim my hair to make that work, and I just don't have time. Still a "maybe" but not definite.
Annette, leave me a PM either here or on Yahoo to let me know what time we're shoving off so I know just how much work/getting-ready I can cram in beforehand.

In regards to food. I'm bringing some chips and some PB&J for myself as well as a few drinks for myself (and a little Jack to share).
Sqiky. Are you still planning on taking your 360 with you to the con? If so make sure you have the standard red/yellow/white hookups with you. If you bring your 360 I'll bring my Wi-Fi adapter with.
Perhaps some late night DZX vs Anime Detour in Halo 3?
Also to Waffles. If you're planning on bringing your PS3, make sure you bring Soul Calibur 4.
---
Aditional Note: I'm bringing my laptop along with and it will be loaded with some classic SNES and N64 gaming. I have one wired 360 controller... could Crono, Sithius, and maybe Waffles/Sqiky bring a 4th 360 wired controller?

Sure, I can bring the 360, since the whole thing fits nicely into my backpack. ALSO, my only controller is a wired controller, so I'll bring that too. I simply don't have the patience for batteries or packs. SECOND ALSO: Sadly, the only hookup I have is the RGB + Red, White, Yellow cables. Which reminds me, a certain dark crono has had a certain cable of mine which would be most beneficial to me now that my room is reorganized. Last ALSO: My system is a certified Rock Band machine now. I have all 84 songs in RB2 legitimately unlocked. I also have the RB1 songs, and the 20 free songs offered on the back of the game case. Plus I have 620 MS points to burn on songs, so more updates will be had when I make song purchases. I may also be able to bring Jon's ultra awesome GH3 controller for 360, but I think Drums would be too loud for a hotel... A microphone may work if used with common sense and a quiet voice. tl;dr version; Yes! I can bring all 3 of the above, 360, wired controller, RYW hookups. Lets roll onto Detour!

Update: I just added: ;D Interstate Love Song - Stone Temple Pilots The Kids Arent Alright - The Offspring Push It - Static X X, if you could bring an extra guitar controller, that'd be awesome. No drums, but hey, it still makes for a good 3-person party game.

im probably not going to bring my rock band guitar. im wanting to keep my packing moderately light and that would be one more thing id have to be responsible for and take care of.
