The south in general is shady from what I have seen my ex was from Mississippi and as most people know she beat the crap out of me everyday for first half of relationship and then mental abuse the rest. I was treated like shit when we visited her family and they all ignored me. Oh yeah its not "southern hospitality" it is "southern hostility" I was called F'ing Yankee by everyone. So just watch out and take care of yourself.

*nods grimly* Yeah, I remember some mentions of that stupid crappy bitchy ex... *e-hug* Don't let anyone walk all over you like that anymore. She didn't deserve the time she stole from you. Still wish I could meet her... just so I can kick the crud outta her!
We'll be careful. We've been in some rough neighborhoods, I've got mace and a knife, and will bring a handgun for good measure.

She was nice for *thinks deeply* a hour. But it got to the point I was convinced I was the cause of all the problems that ever happened in the world. Anyone that knew me before hand knew I didn't like confrontation and now I fight back about the stupidest stuff. The south ruined me XD haha. But yeah after I did get out of the relationship I was a train wreck.

still suffering the ill effects of the south as well. I am generally more intolerant of some groups of people after living in the south. You start to really notice bad things.

OMG fashion is so eww these are the ugliest pants yet: www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=16615577&itemdescription=true&navAction=jumpif you look at most of the whole site they want to make young people look like 1990s soccer moms or something! eww. they call this hip and cool. You'd be made fun of for ever if you wore this when you were at my school. You'd be a laughing stock. LOLz. what has fashion came to? You used to be able to actually find nice clothes and stuff but they are making THIS normal??? Now all the other companies want to do is produce this crap...... eww I think I'm sticking to second hand stores and looking through websites.

personally, i think strange fashion is intriguing. i like seeing weird clothes and people in weird clothes, but not necessarily wearing them myself. I go for comfort, function, and cheap. More power to them if they feel like being outside of the norm.

yes but when you wear something that almost physically makes others sick then its a problem. it also makes them non flattering and seem unconfident. It also makes the kinds of clothing I like (goth-raver like baggy cargo pants and an anime t-shirt or one with awesome design/raver pants and a trippy shirt/hoodie) harder to come by since it is being phased out with the bad looking 80s revival shit. it's so hard to find the clothes I like becuase there are few companies still producing it. I don't wanna have to pay 80 bucks for a pair of pants. all they are making now are skinny tore up acid wash jeans, and pants that bow leg in and there are no funky flares or cargo fit pants anymore. I got to alot of clothing stores and all the have is what the celebs wear now and it's ugly shit. makes it so hard for me to look the way I want. and none of those clothes are comfy. I had some back in school days becuase mom got them cheap and people made fun of me for wearing them and they were itchy and rigid feeling as well as did not fit me good and kept tearing up all the time. I am also sensitive to fabrics I cannot wear jeans or regular khahis or sweat pants textured clothes the only ones I can wear are really baggy wind pants, cargo pants made with a light thin textile, and velour pimp pants. I put on jeans and I feel like I got sandpaper on my legs and take them off within 5 minutes. It's getting harder and harder to find cheap clothes made with "my" fabrics. The only places to get them are expensive online stores or the rare goodwill find. I don't want to get pants online cause I have an irregular body type I got long legs but a short torso and large ghetto booty and that makes in impossible to get normal clothes. I gotta get the baggiest pants to feel confortable. It really sucks. This is why I am so irrate about current fashion becuase the clothes I truly like are being phased out so people can look and feel like douchebags, and sensitive people like me are being neglected. as well as people actually looking pretty. you don't se women trying to look pretty wearing a cute dress and having thier hair done in nice curls or awesome colors. they wear a bad mismatched dress or a skirt that looks like they stole it from holiday inn lobby curtains, and a lumberjack wife beater baggy tanktop with stains on it. eww. That's why I want the lolita fashion to be mainstreamed it is so pretty and cute. you se it all over japan and its very ncie to look at. with more people would dress like that here. also I hjave a hard time trusting and connecting with people who wear such bad clothes becuase it makes them come off as a hipster who don't give a shit about hygyne and passes out drunk or coked out every nite like courtney love. I sometimes call them lovelets or coke bottles on forums. I guess the "trashed" look is in becuase all the celebs are doing it. I trust people more of they have a clean look that's put together and they have good hygyne and a clean sense of being. Most people are making themselves have that shady image and I have a hard time trusting someone with dirty palms and coked-out-eyes and a slouchy drunk look. and the bad sunglasses are bad too.

yeah, fashion will always be in flux. As time goes by it will be harder and harder to find clothes that you like as styles change, especially if you're not into the mainstream thing. I understand how you feel, i tried to go get some clothes last weekend and all they really had were "pre-worn" pants and polo shirts (which i will not degrade myself to wear on a regular basis). I guess it's just something we all have to deal with, especially as we are closer and closer to being considered the old generation. Though the links you posted are more along the lines of designer clothing lines, not necessarily common or mainstream fashion. But yes, they seem to be making lots of the same "in" style of clothing instead of a variety now-a-days. I liked it when i had a choice of what color, fit, and style of jeans i wanted. Not just what brand of skinny, pre worn, tea stained jeans i want for $80. The best we can do is see how things pan out over time.
Also, yes, those huge cheap looking sunglasses do irritate me. Especially the Kanye West style slatted glasses. To me they just scream "Hey! I'm full of myself, please punch me in the neck!"

the hipsters when we were at our "youth prime" were into muscle cars, badass clothes with flames and skulls and cool stuff on them (I had a pair of flame jeans that were so comfy and awesome looking I had 10 people offer me 100 bucks for them at school) while the chicks would have awesome looking hair with cool colors, and styles, they would have a very pretty designed shirt and pants to go with it, they were into stylish gaming computers and casemodding and stuff, and they were into trance and gothic music and had awesome parties..
hipsters today are into bad clothes like I posted above, they are into the emo music or boring ass shit like taylow swift, the idol singers, jonas brothers, and hannah montana, they drive boring bmws that look like every other sedan out there or an ugly vw bug and would rather have a boring ass mac compie that can barely play WoW.

Heh, well there are exceptions, and differing opinions (I personally think the VW bug is cute, though dislike how it's been made into a douche-fad... I guess you mostly see it as the latter but I can look past that to the car itself since I try not to pay attention to fads on a personal level).
We'll always find some things annoying... But there could be way worse things, and heck there are. I guess you're concerned about the state of society as a whole when you look at its parts. But, there are GOOD facets of fashion slowly coming back, like hints of 80s that DON'T suck (I personally like mullets, and the attitude of the 80s was kind of innocent and earthy in a way), and the 90s (more puff-paint shirts, neon colors... I LOVED the neon colors!).
While crappy things evolve, so do good things. It's these we should focus on and applaud, and purchase when we can to encourage their survival. I mean sure, if something's annoying it's annoying, that's a human emotion. But, try to look for the good or even average around you, and you'll find there may be more than you think. Just last night in Giant Eagle I heard, *gasp*, a GOOD MOTHER, who used the perfect talking method to correct her kid's behavior. Even around here it can happen, and that's encouraging. I've seen plenty of people dressed at least acceptably, and many others who deviated from what's "in" and instead chose clothes that fit their body type and complemented their looks.
Heck, even Waffles saw a chick who did something cool with her hair the other day. And me n Paul saw a group of young men before we went to your guys' place and one of them had a HUGE black mohawk, half a foot or more tall!
Fashions cycle around. Yeah, douche is in, because it's unfortunately easy to BE a douche. BUT, the minority of clothes will soon enough become forbidden fruit, will raise in demand, and then IT just might become the status-quo. And old folks will complain that all of society looks like punks, and will bring back hand-knitted sweaters (which hey, everyone can customize their own and it'll get Made In China off our tags).
Fashions and fads will come and go. But just be yourself. And let others be themselves, whether it's visually appealing or not. ^_^;;
(Edit: "Cycles fashion around", lol, I just woke up)
