*points to an open farm field that has large tires in it* Hey Waffles, that's where the farmers burry their tractors. --------- The car ride home from Detour... --------- See? He burried his truck, too!

HEY GUYS!! I have some good news. I might be getting a new car shortly so I could take some people to Detour. I'm looking at getting a 2004 Chrysler 300M Special. 4 door, heated leather seats, the works. So if I do get this, I can drive to Detour again this year.

Wheee. You'll have to show us sometime.
btw...
This means some bad things for the MSTC people who waited forever for a decision (however, it was their complete loss for taking so long undecided or with no interest). Think on site registration would still be okay for them if we get any additional students?
I'll check with the group and see if there was anyone left interested in the trip. At this time, I can assume we will only get funding for at most two hotel rooms.

i'll send out an email and see how they reply about it. but if this is the final verdict, we probably wont need more than 2 rooms.
crono, with the situation at hand, can i get the "final" mstc head count?
EDIT
woops, forgot to look at the rest of the AD page. send out an email that i just answered for myself. so here it is:
no more registration. not even at the door. critical mass has been reached. this means that any mstc club members that didnt register already can no longer do so and wouldnt be able to get a badge at the door. those who have pre-reged are the only ones going i guess :\
so i guess that's it, what's are final count crono?

*Updates with bad news* It came to my attention on Friday that there were two people from MSTC who actually registered. TWO. During the semester it appeared that 5 MSTC students (includes me) were going and that would be okay to set aside 2 hotel rooms for 5 people. Apparently, two didn't have the money to register and were "going to this weekend" on his credit card. Not only that, he was originally registered, but canceled it (and never told me) because he needed money. Side note - In all sincerity, I would have paid for him if he asked... because it would save us all money in the end. (Summary) Because one student canceled his registration a while ago, we are reimbursed one hotel room and probably $60 of gas. ------ I can hardly understand why the club's members wouldn't want to go to a convention... especially since most of their fees would be covered. Since the start of 2008, I sent a total of 4-5 mass emails reminding people of Anime Detour (and the fun that could be had), but it seems no one was interested. Everyone member knew since last semester. I am at loss for words and we now have to figure out how to pay for one of the rooms.
