To clarify Crono:
Yes, between Gen and myself, were planning on making some much better food than we all normally get at these conventions. Id expect at least one big meal, and maybe even some baked goods as well, but we'll see. I did have some inspiration to make an EMT style meal, but I'll see what I can all afford. Josh can help of course; we should definetly do the midnight bacon~

The new rooms look totally sweet and this might be the most comfortable con I've been to lol!
Only problem I see with this is that there is SO much to do at the Kalahari, that I'm afraid I'll be missing more con then I normally do. =X
We get free passes to the water park, which you can spend a whole day at in itself, then it has a mini carnival arcade inside (but you have to pay for that).
The Kalahari is an awesome place to be non-the-less, but I hope the con won't suffer from having to compete with all the other entertainment.
As for food, and actually be able to eat real food, I'd love to cook some stuff up for everyone! Here's the things I can make:
Menchi Mac N' Cheese & Beannie Weinnies
Super Mario Spaghetti with Gojira Garlic Bread
Sephy's Stroganoff
Totoro Tacos
(Don't forget breakfast!)
Pikachu Pancakes, Yoshi Eggs, Tenchi Toast & BACON
And of course I would make special dishes for le Whicker if need be.
Even with the extra commodities, I'm really glad Daisho is going to happen, and that most of us are going.

I've been level grinding enough against the Jokers and am ready to spend some Gil at the Gold Saucer.
And yes. Midnight Behoimi Bacon sounds like a dream.
Super Mario Spaghetti and Totoro Tacos (wonder what's in it?) sound great too.

No offense guys, but we're most likely not going to be able to make it. It was one thing when it was at the Ramada where is freaking affordable, but the whole con being switched to the Kalahari is just a deal breaker for us. I don't have a job, and Jon just found out he's responsible for paying another 550$ for rent at the other place. So yeah. I'm more than a little miffed at this too. I'd join with the group rooms, but no offense I HATE staying in rooms with other people, because all it leads to is quibbling and squawking. That and I'm not gonna go if Jon isn't gonna go. I mean my mother might help us out to going because it's how Jon and I met, but yeah... probably not gonna happen this year.

hiya everyone! it makes me a little sad to hear that people can't come, and i hope everything works out somehow.
otherwise, i'm definitely going, i have a table in the artist alley. i'd love to have a massive cooking party though, i can make anything that has a recipe. Eric wanted me to bake a cake, which i might do, but i was thinking cookies would be good too. i wonder if they have a waffle maker there. i haven't had waffles in forever. -gen

Leah, I do hope you know that rooms will be separated, and that we just share a living room & kitchen. The couch does pull out, so no one should have to sleep on the floor. Sorry to hear about the extra bills though, and I do hope you make it. =)
I was going to bring a cake to the con, for somebody's birthday, but it seems like you guys are set on squeeky to make food, which is fine I guess. I just wanted to contribute was all. ^^

Well no offense to anyone, but I don't want to room with anyone period. I just want it to be me and jon in a room. Or one of the other couples or something. I want to avoid room with a certain someone as much as possible. But it looks like, thanks to a little help from my grandma (God bless her soul), I have enough to register and pay for at least one night... So... I'm going to ask my mother if she can cover the other half...

For anybody on the fence on costs, I really want people to come. It's not about the money at this point. I want *you* the individuals to come and have fun just for a short while... when this world seems so bleak and dark with issues.
I know not every one can get along, but there are different rooms we all are sleeping in Lumina. You are guaranteed to get a room you are compatible with. This convention is also hosted in a theme park where you can do tons of things even without seeing any panel.
Vacations are great and even better when everybody can join in. Since not everybody could go to the Chicago Concert earlier this year, join this event~
All of these sounds yummy for the con! We'll have quite a few meals available, so I'm sure those who want to cook will have a chance. Egad, a first convention where no one goes hungry!? Madness. ;D
