Nobody else here will understand this I guess...
But... from the beginning here... CLAMP wrote the manga Tsubasa (and its sister-series xxxHolic) and they were awesome. Bee-Train got licensed to do an anime series. They drug it out, filler'ed the hell out of it, and it eventually fizzled.
But then another company (Production I.G) came along and started picking up where the manga canon last left off in the series, ignoring the filler continuity. That was awesome. Spawned three OVAs that rocked.
More were announced to be in the works. I continued reading the manga, getting through some of the most amazing, emotional stories I've ever seen, centering around the character Fai (or Fay as spelled though pronounced Fai) who is a major fan-favorite and my definite favorite.
Today I got several more amv ideas involving Fai and his friends, but they'd have to wait until his arcs (Infinity and Celes arcs) were animated.
But anyway, now more info and interviews came out... and they're gonna skip straight to the final Nihon arc, totally bypassing Infinity and Celes, and thus Fai's greatest character development and past
RUINED! >____<
This sucks on so many levels, not just AMV-making. Even as just a human being I was looking forward to this vast emotion being put into motion and color
But apparently they want more romance and bloody swordfights instead of depth and angst and friendship and watching a man change and grow through so many phases of his life and pleasing probably the majority of fans of the story.
Seriously, if all Fai fans got together and simply walked toward the animation HQ, it'd get trampled into rubble with none of us raising a hand, as we are many!
The clothes in the Infinity Arc were sooo coooool, and and and poor Fai-saaaaan, and Kurogane made such a cool sacrifice and and and.... ;_;
It's just devastating to me as a fan who's been looking forward to it...
Bee-Train = ... mostly FAIL!!!
(They've done some good series like Noir and some .hack stuff... but it seems even those and ALL other things they do have a LOT of dragging-on inbetween the awesomes. Remember .hack//ROOTs sis? The stare-at-the-distance show?
...Avenger = Camera-Panning show, Noir = music-box-flashback-sequence interrupting a lot of awesome show, etc.)
Production I.G = ...Damn, they've done SO many awesome things, wiki them up, chances are you've seen some very awesome things they've done... but that makes this particular FAIL hurt all the more deeply.
