Heeey, SP, to answer your question in chapter 11... I'm thinkin new chapter/s sound/s good at this point. Both ideas started are fairly complete. Unless Sephy has anything to add of course.

So about how many days past the Fall of Midgar are we? I was estimating about a week to 10 days.

I just made a quick thing of cliff notes (somewhat Bax-centric...my bad), and discerned that we are 8 days past the Fall of Midgar. That work for everyone?

Yup, that'll certainly work. Not too long, not too short. Recent and fresh and painful, yet beginning to look hopeless as we bide our time and hope for the best. Mwahahahaa!

The Battle of Prosperity happened and Sephiroth X won
During the next 2 weeks, Seph goes back to Midgar and discovers that Catrina has come back to life--happiness
Everyone else settles down in the Super City and recuperates for about 2 weeks
Midgar Falls and all hell breaks loose

So it has been 24 days since the Battle of Prosperity and 8 days since the Fall of Midgar.

We've been at this session for a year a and a half, and we've come about 10 days...

I want to cry a little...

BUT AT LEAST WE'RE MOVING!!

Okay, okay, okay. I've been trying to give estimates, and my best figuring leads me to the following conclusions:

From our current place in the story...
Bax crashed on Earth 2 months ago
2 weeks after, PH became Valtiel and went apeshit
About a month or so into the story, Seph and Crono found the Element
40 days after crash (give or take a few day) - Battle of Prosperity
It has now been 24 days since the Battle and 8 days since the Fall of Midgar

So somewhere around 2 months. This might not seem all that important to some of you, but it is crucial for my own personal understanding and sanity. Yaaaay.

Man, time has flowed very differently than expected... ^_^;;

And maaaaaaaaaan! That last post (with the Hand of Belenus) was scary as heck! SCARYYYYY!!! @_@ Poor Bax! All his life fire's been an essential and great thing, but now he's got cause to fear it... Wow... I'm in extreme suspense over how it'll turn out... Creepy cult is creepy!

Excellent writing, and very effective.

(And poor guy now knows how a human usually feels, getting hot n tired from heat and afraid of fire burning... Wow, didn't realize being human sucks by comparison. ^_^;; Though of course we do get the trade-off of being able to go swimming. So... double-suckage for poor Bax >.< )

Belias and Belenus are from different etymologies.

Belias is named from Belial, an evil being in Jewish apocrypha, and also a term used to characterize the wicked or worthless. He is the Fire Esper of FF12 and of all Ivalice-based FF games.

Belenus is as you put on the plrpg wiki.

While Belias is associated with Aries and Belenus with Apollo, I am condensing things. All will be explained...after Bax survives the Cerberus.

Also, I had decided that Valermos was home to Belias before you put the cult up. Just as a note. Happy coincidences.

Oh maaaaan... SP and I worked for three days on a very grim post that we'd hoped would only take one... @_@ (Due to the human need of sleep, and internets hating us). Let's just say it was very haunting work. Haunting...

I just had some cookies. Yaaay...

But yes, we decided to split it up for you so as to avoid hitting you with THE MASS!

It was either 1) Give you oodles of pages of pain and suffering all at once or 2) Make you suffer through short bursts of pain and suffering.

We chose 2.

Also, we are insane. I just did a word count on Ch. 11. Coming in at 96 single-spaced pages, it contains a total of 49,392 words.

For comparison, the average paperback novel contains 35,000-80,000 words on 140-320 double-spaced pages.

One of our chapters is the equivalent of book.

Wtf.
