More stories!
I wanna know what the rest of your characters are doing. I've gone through two full days now...
Sephy, it's only a matter of time now. By week's end, you'll have what you want.

Well I contributed to SP's thread with a post that really doesnt contribute much to whats going on in that chapter (or deal with my character directly), but just kind of shows the direction Catrina is going in.
I did kind of write myself into a corner, so the post has a flashback within a flashback in it. I tried my best to separate the two flashbacks and avoid confusion. The initial flashback is just the standard text format i normally use (you'll know when this flashback starts and ends). The sub-flashback is all italicized and in orange text.

Yay for activity! I love reading everyone's responses to the quiz, and it's great seeing other activity, too! I hear that we should expect more stuff from ZC and Waffles soon! Huzzah!

Aaaahhhh, yay activity! I love it!
Also, I can finally say that I finished reading FZU's Reversal trilogy. I'm sorry it took me so long to get through it all, but I gotta say--I loved it. Your character (and your style) have grown so much! Can't wait for Bax to meet Lynx again.
Speaking of...could that maybe happen (after Argon and Mavra stop duking it out)?

Yay ^_^ That would make me a happy panda. Phoenix. Whatever.
Also, my shapeshifter is probably aware of your shapeshifter. We could probably have some fun interaction there, too.

Quick update! Just to let you guys know, the next posts in my story arc are still on their way. Ive told Zacloud already many times that my next post was going to be a quick transitional one, however, as time goes on, I just keep finding new things to add to it. On top of that, I will admit that so much time has gone by since I read the RPG last, that I've forgotten most of what's went on.
So in an effort to catch up on my reading, as well as contribute SOMETHING to hold you guys over until my next post, I plan on bringing back the PLRPG Cliff notes! Ive got notes already made up for the first 8 posts in chapter 1 - Close to Home, and I plan to keep going. And yes, the second and even third helpings were just as tasty as the first time around. Awesome (past) work everyone!
Oh and in case you missed it, I added Brands and Culture section to the RPG Wiki. Feel free to add anything, cause at this point, it looks barren, and you guys probably know your stuff better than me anyway! Some quick suggestions; McDougals = McDonalds and MyPlace = MySpace, but I know theres tons more. One thing I'd like to add to it is what the currency of the world is called. If you know these details, or anything else, see Waffle King or Sephiroth X to get a Wiki account. Keep up the good work, cause I will be back!

I'll be sure to add to it when i get a chance! (Although i doubt the RPG world is at the point were they'd have any kind of myspace equivalent since there is no internet. And since each city is rather independent of the other i doubt there would be major fast food chains).
I'll have to double check with ZC, but I believe we established the currency either gil or dollars. (Btw, see the Wiki thread and Wiki Standards thread for more ^_^ )

Actually Sephy, in my Strife History, it has said that the internet does exist, and Jack and his computer-hacking buddies have openly used it to the emphasis of their technology-affluent character traits (such as hacking info from Zion to stay on top of the Earth-Breaker's status and other situations). And hey, didn't you mention the Moogle search engine once? If you'd rather it didn't exist, we would have to retcon/re-write a lot of things, though I guess it could be done... But being the host, you seemed to approve of all these at the time.

I may have simply forgotten it i've probably forgotten more about my own character then i actually remember I don't like retconing stuff, I'd maybe just suggest an internet like thing would be something more common/used in the Super City since that is the big not-war-torn place and its civilization didnt get set back by war. It would just seem odd that people can die while crossing the desert of the dead, but there could be CAT-5 cables all over the place

Well, the cables could be primarily underground.
And for all we know, there could be a handful of small communities existing underground a la Gurren Lagann. That could be fun to explore at some point. With Nibelheim still existing in the Desert, there could be other communities as well. These communities could, if they wanted to, tap into the internet by digging down. But that would alert Midgar and Zion to their presence. Perhaps this happened in Nibelheim, thus alerting Zion to their activities.
People die crossing the desert because there's not much food and the conditions are unbearable. That, or they run into drifters who kill them. I don't think having internet would impact this, because it doesn't impact it for us in deserts now. If you get marooned, it will still be difficult to survive.
There could be a satellite, but that might be more development than we want. Although, with technology like the Earth Breaker, I think satellites are more than feasible.
