Several were interested in attending Anime Central this year. Main hotels are already full (and room blocks full) so we are a bit late in getting these and only have the Crowne Plaza available for May 16th. What say thee? --------------------- Update 5/21/13: Final Room costs adjusted with actual hotel bill. AC and Whicker pay a percentage of the queen room.

I'm going because I want to visit the Chicago suburbs again.
Scoff if you want, but it'll be 10 years since I lived there.
It's the little things: the people, the food, the sights, the stores.
I know downtown chicago sucks but this isn't downtown.
I just want to get out of the comfort zone and ratchet up the intensity level.

Updated attendees. Hiya wondersaiyan! I'll see if we can get the Aloft hotel rooms instead. It would save ~$156 for the weekend (and cost $3 parking per day more), but require a bit more distance. An Aloft shuttle goes to the conference center every 15-30 minutes. Somebody on the Acen forum estimated it would be a 10-15 min walk if we didn't use the shuttle. Click the survival map in post 1 for location reference. Unless you wanna stay put at the Crown Plaza.  Also: Does a Thurs early arrival work? It'll beat millions of cars, people, headaches, etc. Prolly recommended. |

Now if you actually ask a hotel that question, they would flip out.
Ugh. rephrase...
I would think it would be a fun experience to stay at a botique hotel.

Thursday arrivals are great. Been doing that for Otakon for YEARS ^__^ And I personally have no preference for hotels. I don't mind walking so long as the rain is on vacation, too |

I'm all signed up and am having my badge mailed to me. (I am expecting April 5th)
we'll see how this works in practice, but anytime you can get a badge ahead of time is a major plus.

Well...
This is a possibility for me, but I will need to steal someones floor space since I don't think I would be able to afford more then the ticket there.
I still really want to go tho! I miss my ACEN so much, and I'd be great to go with you all this year! >3<
I'll see how much I have come late April, at which I'll give my final verdict.
Wither I go or not, I hope everyone can, because it's freakin ACEN!!

ok, print shop has returned a couple weeks ago. i MAY be able to go. i wouldn't worry about bed space for me, i'll be good with my sleeping bag. Just gotta see how much i can save up by then.
the only hitch is that i'll be moving a couple weeks afterwards, and i gotta have money for the deposit and what not. so we shall see what happens.

Room costs added. AC and Whicker pay a percentage of the queen room. If Sephy joins, percentages will change so that we can split a little more evenly. Oh... I received my prereg in the mail last week. So looks like I'm going for sure. ^o^ |
