Okies. So Waffles has inquired about travel arrangements and informed that wondersaiyan shall be in town when we depart next Thursday. Will be be renting some larger vehicle or one that will fit 4 people... or will there be two vehicles?

So... in LA I can rent a car for about $22 a day after all fees, and a minivan is the last thing one wants... but here in good old Wisconsin a minivan is $89 each and every single fricken DAY? (plus extra fees)  Okay. let's do some math... Renting an SUV would be $56 a day if we sign on soon. $300 total fees and carp. whatever. I'm not asking for contributions. let's just math here. 230 miles to get there 460 miles / 20 mpg = 23 gallons SUV 23 gallons * $3.70 = $85 460 miles / 24 mpg = 19 gallons 1 car 19 * 2 = 38 gallons for 2 cars 19 * 3 = 57 gallons for 3 cars 38 gallons * $3.70 = $140 57 gallons * $3.70 = $211 (parking $14 a day) SUV = $385 + $14*3 = $427 two cars = $140 + $14*3*2 = $224 three cars = $211 + $14*3*3 = $337 4 cars?? 19 * 4 * $3.70 = $281 $281 + $14*3*4 = $449 So... I don't think we're each all taking our own cars individually. Two cars with one being a luggage car makes the most financial sense. Two cars could expand comfortably to 5-6 people going, which is what the full size SUV would be. |

I've already spoken about this in person, but i'll put it here anyways. I'll offer up my car as the con transport. has plenty of trunk space for our stuff. I get decent gas mileage on the interstate, it's pretty comfy, and i recently made my fan have more settings that off and AAAAAAAAH. Also, it's red.
