No Brand ConThat other con we keep hearing about but still haven't gone to. www.nobrandcon.com/April 15-17, 2011 Plaza Hotel and Suites - Eau Claire, WI I thought I'd finally make an official thread for it. No Brand has been a con we've considered swapping into our schedule as a substitute for Anime Detour over the course of about the last year or so. Scheduling wise it falls two weeks after Anime Detour 2011, is cheaper than Detour, and is closer than Detour. From everything I've heard about No Brand in the past, it's apparently Detour circa 5-years ago. IE; a smaller slightly more social convention. |

Hmmm...unfortunately, I will only be able to attend one con a year and I'm going to make that Daisho Con.

I've already been on the fence of not going, but if people give enough of a case to go, I could reconsider. Somebody needs to reserve rooms since I'm not the coordinator.  Gen would like DZX to make its presence known with AMV entries and a panel though. That is also something to consider, but it has to be requested by March 15. I'm basically swapping No Brand with Distant Worlds, especially since its going to be more expensive than a convention. I've always wanted to do it as a group, so I'll be taking a brunt of the cost to make it more affordable for others. |

i will not be attending No Brand for sure. I need new tires and they are not cheap. So money does not exist for me now.

I can't believe any of you haven't been yet. I've gone since 2007. IT stole my con-cherry. It's definitely worth going to and I hope I can see you all there, because that would be nice. There are a few great places for sushi in Eau Claire too. :3

Also guys, remember that the people from Red Letter Media will be there... never before have I been so excited for a guest coming to a convention. I'm certain that if a few of you wanted, you could find a way to stay out there... redlettermedia.com/half-in-the-bag/episode-3/Fast forward to 15:20 in the video to see their coverage of Comic Con; they look like great guests, really personable and funny guys. They also gave out posters at Comic Con and I think they would here too. |

Pretty definitive that most of us aren't going to this con.
Hope you guys have fun! If SK has a camera, you know I'd like allll the pix of Vocaloid cosplayers! Offer the RLM guys a pizza roll for some lulz. ^.^ v
