Gentleman, figured I'd post this here, in hopes that we can pull this off with some order. Our Miller Park trip is fast approaching. Firstly, I'll need $18 from each attendee, which will pay for the tickets I purchased. Secondly, I want to leave NO LATER (I repeat, ABSOLUTELY NO LATER) than 2 PM. There have been rumors of construction along our route (go figure), so we need to take some extra time. That will also give us enough time to break out the grill and eat before entering. We'll figure out gas after the trip, but sufficed to say I'll need help filling the van's gas tank. Also, I'd like to meet in Plover, which would save us almost half an hour of drive time. Sqiky and Whicker will be familiar with our route, as it's almost the same as the one we took to our AC/DC trip. Any questions, feel free to hit me up on Yahoo. Looking forward to this!!!!

Update: Looks like I'm going to come get people, instead. Whicker, I can probably grab you on the way to Rapids, or on the trip back up through to Plover. If everyone would gather in some centralized area, that'd be cool. That way, I don't have to chug the van between several houses.

I dont mind the route, I just think it would be more efficient in the long run to just drive through Plover & Rapids and then hitch up on I-39 via Bancroft rather than have a majority of our group move someplace else first (thus adding 20 minutes to the trip for crono sqiky and i). With that route everyone can be picked up along the way. Plus I'm already going to be driving an hour to get back for the game (even though technically I'm already half way there. In the Dells at the moment) so another half hour trip plus leaving my car in some random shopko parking lot isnt exactly my cup of tea.
plus there's the familiarity aspect that you me and crono have taken that route to milwaukee before, plus sqiky knows the route well from living in the madison area.
(plus highway 94 takes you right to miller parks front door)

depends on where the van is starting from...
if van has to leave from city A, get me, get rapids ppl, go to milwaukee, come back to rapids, and finally go back to A, that's the absolute longest distance that AZ has to drive.
Considering AZ already got van from south of rapids, and it has to ultimately end up there. so his burden ends up being 4x anyone else's effort.

Whicker speaks my thoughts exactly. And I've changed my mind again. We meet in Plover, perhaps parking the carpool car at Whicker's apartment (pending his approval). Yes, X, you yourself will have to spend an extra 20 minutes in the car on the way to meet me. But considering that I've planned the trip, bought the tickets, got the van from my family, will do all the driving, and am going to cook dinner once we get there, I'd appreciate it if you'd take the effort. You won't be driving anyway. It'll be Dave. Otherwise, I'll have to come back, drive all of you home, and then finally head back to my house.
In exchange for 20 minutes of your riding time, that's more than an hour and a half of driving time for me in the big, gas guzzling van that I have to return to my family with a full tank.
I've run the math. From the Shopko in Plover to Miller Park is 2 hours, 37 minutes by the US-41 route I plan to take. From Shopko in Rapids (as a reference point close to both your and AC's residences), it's about 3 hours and 5 minutes via I-39.

Hey, all.
Here's the expense breakdown I've been promising. I didn't keep exact track of what each of you have paid me, so I'll count on you to figure out what you owe, if anything. This is the cost per person
Thanks!
Parking: $18 + Gas: $35 (This is an approximation. I put $50 worth in the van before the trip, but made a few very brief runs around Amherst before we left.) + Food: $18 + Tickets:$90 (not appiece, total cost) / 5 passengers (including me) = $32.80 total cost for each member of the expedition.
Does this look right to everyone?
