www.nobrandcon.com/Anyone interested in No Brand Con this year? I mention this because of three reasons. A- It's the weekend after Detour B- It's closer to us (Eau Claire) C- The hotel for Anime Detour is already full  (UPDATE: but Crono already got rooms it seems) I'd be kind of interested in this convention assuming this hotel isn't full either. But that's also because last Detour kind of turned me off to the convention a little (bot hotel and staff wise)

I'm going to AD for sure, I live in MN. If I remember correctly- it was Minnesota's first & only anime con for a while. I also dislike the prudish attitude of the staff, but I try to ignore the pompous attitude & enjoy the con. Also, there is another anime con now that premiered in 2008 called: KakkoiCon. It's known as Minneapolis Anime Convention (M.A.C.) now, & I loved being there for MAC's first year. It centers around Japanese pop culture as a whole, not just anime. There was a band from L.A. called VAEIDOS that performed, that was kick @$$. Also a fashion show & 'para para' dancing- if you're into that, it's like a love/hate relationship for me. Faux swordplay, cosplay contest, gaming room, etc. MAC took year 2009 off to make improvements/funding & I know I'll have an AWEZZZOME time again 2010- I'm SO EXCITED~! Detour is a go for me as well. And hell, if I was able I'd stick around for No Brand con....just to do it ;D And HMMMMM, a summer con up thar with all you kraizeighs? This will require some thought....I've been Meaning to make a trip up there some time when I won't have to worry about snow (not that I have had to worry about it thus far @_@) Of course, if y'all want a summer con....you could always venture my direction and beyond for Otakon :3 I'd really love for all of you to join me and ZC some time. And you'd finally get to meet SP in the flesh! Cuz even if he didn't attend we could raid his house...it's THAT close >  |

im up for anime cons, ya'll knows that. and hopefully if zombie steve becomes my new roomie, that'll mean even more disposable income for said cons.
