yey! So far it is being a good little fox. I hope it continues to do so.
*smothers fox and gives him a kiss*
How has it been for you's? I like the fact that it has tags for bookmarks in case you forget the title and want to search for let's say "oblivion" so you type it and it will display results for oblivion.
The RAM footprint is a hell alot better it is taking up 250MB instead of 500+ (80 collective tabs with 8 windows)! That's a definite improvement.
So what have your experiences been with the new foxxie?

Make Firefox 3 the most downloaded software in 24 hours! Download now! It's been working really great for me. I just want to see more compatible themes and extensions. But I know that will come with time.

Yeah the theme I like don't work either. Wait a week or so though... hopefully the theme authors will fix it.

Update:272MB up from 250 4 hours ago. Not bad just a little bloat but not near as bad as FF2.0. Also handles flash vids alot better and faster loading times.
You're welcome to post your progress of testing as well. I hope you all do so!

I've got it. I can finally open Hotmail in it, yaaaay! (It didn't wanna work in the previous version on my comp at least). And I like the extra Bookmarks options. I'm disappointed though at the fact that there seems to be quite a bit of scroll-lag/choppiness despite my resources not being stressed, and animated gifs STILL play way too fast. I really hoped they'd have done something about that after all these years; it ruins the experience of lots of 'em. Or does someone know of a fix or patch?

Mmmmm mabye you can tell the FF team about it my ani-gifs actually play slower on my machine. hrrrms. I am glad you can open hotmail! one step closer to saying goodbye to exploder! muhahaha! I can see if I can find a fix for the ani-gif problem. I hope there is one. I can always look on the about:config and mess around there and tell you what to edit. This gives you more options and IMO is better then using the options panel. But be careful with it you can screw things up.

Huh, well dang... So I guess everyone in the world when they make gifs needs to use Firefox as their test browser instead of IE... But I doubt we could make 'em do that (and all the gif makers I've used use IE speed to preview, blargh...)
So... doomed to speedygifs unless I continue using IE... >_<

Or if.. I find out a way to do it myself. I will try this sometime. I seriously want you to stop using IE though. I stop using it and I don't care enought about the gifs. I would rather have fast gifs then have viruses. I only use the IE tab extension to view things that I really really need to view but they will not load in FF. If you are that desperate you can try that. I hope to find a fix for you though. I reaaaaaaaly hope I can.

Well it is now being a bad little fox it has crashed 6 times since. You were right in being cautious zacloud! I will try to find an alternative. this is just way too ridiculous. oh BTW thier bug submission site is buggy! Firefox crashes as soon as I hit the submit button. and thier forums has issues. Anyone know of any that have adblocking and multitabs and the features of firefox?

Well, there's Opera of course... www.opera.com/products/desktop/Here's some others I haven't tried yet but looked up: Avant Browser www.avantbrowser.com/Slim Browser www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/Crazy Browser (though I'm not sure how secure it is... looks too much like IE @_@ ) www.crazybrowser.com/Meanwhile at least my FireFox improved with the scrolling, I just had to un-checkmark "Smooth Scrolling" in the options. But the cookies list/options still take FOREVER to load and often come up with a message asking if I wanna abort script cuz it's using too much memory. Courteous of it but it did that before too. I'd rather it just open my cookie list, dangit. And now it wouldn't let me get into gmail. It just went in an endless fast loop of loading screens, even though I have it set to accept the correct cookies. If I'm missing one it's hard to find out what, because it won't let me friggin open my list of cookies without hanging, saying too much memory, then crashing if I refuse to abort. Blah! Just gotta hang on for patches as usual I guess, or we'll see how any of those other browsers test.

Alt-Gr!!!! and Opera wont remember my logins at all. Also I define adfilters and it won't remember those as welll. I guess I gotta stick with FF since I cannot use alot of sites in thier ad ridden state. maybe by version 4 they will get it right. That's the thing though. FF1.5 was perfect. It did not crash or have any problems. why couldn't they go back to that. i would have 100 collective tabs and it would take 212MB RAM. and top out!.....

Opera is working pretty good for me, its alright as long as you don't mind seeing more ads... Firefox was crashing on me on some websites and it would re-crash whenever I tried again. I think it dislikes some scripts that are in heavy usage. I coulden't even look at the DZX pages wile logged in without it crashing.
