An orange tabby kitten lay sunning himself in the grass, the end of his fuzzy tail twitching every now and then to expend some of his kitteny energy. His eyes were still blue at his yet young age, his nose pink and his paws dainty. Things have been great ever since he had escaped the Senate Animal Shelter (although he could not really remember his stay there). The kitten's sharp ears twitched, and he looked toward a sound in the distant bushes. A mouse? An intruder? The Senate animal-catchers? Well, it's not like me to just run away... Gotta do what any self respecting dog would! And so, the kitten rushed toward the bush, barking and barking in high-pitched squeaks, bouncing to and fro lightly like a rabbit on speed.

[OoC - brilliant thread ZC - this is an Omake i'll be posting a lot in, coz its nice and short and easy and fun ^_^] The little white wabbit hopped around in circles, not knowing that a predator was speeding its way toward it. It paused and wiggled it's nose, before continuing his circles of hops. Truth be told the wabbit couldn't remember where it was going, or where it had come from, or even who it was. So the wabbit just hopped around in circles hoping that it mght come back to him. He heard a rushing sound coming from the other side of the bushes. He wiggled his nose again and twitched his ears at the sound. Maybe it's a fwend? thought the wabbit, maybe someone is coming to help. The wabbit wiggled it's nose and scrunched up it's eyes at the happy thought, and began hopping towards the sound.

(OOC: LOL, well that's an unexpected animal representation! ;D ) The kitten's 'barking' seemed not to scare off the intruder, but rather it was coming closer. So the tabby hunkered down in a crouch, eyes wide, tail thrashing to and fro. When he saw a little white rabbit emerge, he instantly relaxed and stood to his full height. "Oh! Hello! You're a wabbit, aincha? My name's Zack. I'm a dog." ^_^ He began to chase his tail in a circle to demonstrate his prowess. Except he couldn't catch it so the chase went on and on and on, until he got dizzy and fell over in a fluffy heap.

The little wabbit watched the 'cat' or 'dog' whichever these strange creature was. He watched as the animal started running around chasing his tail, and decided it look like fun. The wabbit tried to chase his tail but it was to small, and he fell over before he'd even started. He looked over at the other animal, which seemed to have fallen over from dizziness. He hopped over and started sniffing it eagerly with his cute little pink nose.

Zack looked up at the bunny and sniffed him as well. "You smell like fluff and clover," he observed. "I bet I smell like bacon. Somebody told me I smell like bacon. I dunno what bacon is though. But I think it's something good, at least I hope so. But maybe they're wrong and I really smell like something else. Hey, do you have a name? What is it? Can I still pronounce it even with these sharp teeth? And my tongue's really bristly, but I'll try to say it anyway."
He started batting one of the bunny's long ears. "Those are cool, I bet you can hear lotsa stuff. Is my tummy making noises? Cuz I'm kinda hungry. But I'm not gonna eat you. I eat outta trash cans. But I'll do that later, not right now. First, what's your name?"

Suddenly, a shadow fell over the two fluffy animals. Zack the "dog" looked up and saw the silhouette of a hawk descending, talons extended. It was aiming for the wabbit.
"Look out!" the kitten yowled, leaping forward and head-butting his new acquaintance out of the way. As the white fluff went flying sideways along the ground, the yellow fluff went flying upward into the sky.
Zack squealed in fear, squirming and kicking. One of the talons was poking his shoulder.
The hawk landed on a tree, pinning the kitten against the rough bark. It lowered its head to look at its prey, its gold eyes sharp and savage. "Ahhhh," he hissed, "a new toy for me to pull apart."
"Toy?!" exclaimed the kitten, "I'm not a toy! I chew on toys! Like this!" He started gnawing on the hawk's foot, but the scales were hard and he barely had any effect.
The hawk hissed a laugh, and opened his beak, preparing to devour his prey...
