need help

i need help!!! i would like to add pictures to messages and to my signature area. obviously im doing something wrong. the pictures i want to add are on my computer not the web. do i use html or javascript? wow. im watching advent children right now. oooooo aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. bahamut is one bad ass.

But to reiterate since it got a little crazy:

First, get an account with a free image host ( www.photobucket.com is a good one). You can upload your images if they fit their specifications (size, resolution, format, etc). No bitmaps; compress to .jpeg or .png or something. But not with MS Paint for .jpeg, it usually is very low quality.

Anyway, after upload you'll be able to go down in your Album and under each pic's thumbnail will be three sets of code. You can copy/paste the ones between the [ ] .

Plus depending on if other websites let you mooch off their images or not, you can use pre-existing pics on the web too. Angelfire and many others don't allow this so-called "hot-linking" though so you can't always count on it.

The code for putting in images is [ img][ /img] but without the spaces. Right inbetween those tags there, ya put the image url (as long as it ends with the picture's extension, like .jpg or .png.

Another way is just click on the grey button in your toolbar when you make a post. Underneat the B, I, U, S, etc (and above the smilies), the second row of buttons... click the fourth one from the left. On my browser it's above this smilie:

Poof, you get image tags, just paste an image URL in between them without any spaces.
