We need more joy in our lives, so here's a thread where we can keep track of those special, rare moments that keep poppin' up when they're needed.
It's snowing pretty darn good outside. My mom got home at about 8 pm, and me and my younger bro went to the car to help her with groceries. As we came back toward the garage, a bird swooped down into the porch light's glow and was flying around right above our heads; if one of us had reached up, we probably could have touched it. It hovered here, zig-zagged there, pretty slowly so it always stayed close to us, it had to have done this for a good twenty seconds before retreating over the roof and into the night. Way too small to be a whipoorwill, maybe it was a swallow but I didn't get a chance to look at the tail (while it was there long, it did move quite a bit, plus the shadow/light angles made it a little hard to see detail). It was a streamlined birdy, that's all I know. Didn't look like a typical night bird. I'd never seen something like that before. It's a bit of a mystery and totally unexpected. It made both me and my bro all excited and happy though, that such a surprise would come our way. ^_^

My cat, Coco, acts human sometimes. The other day, when Matt was sitting at the computer, he climbed up and sat in his lap. He sat just like a person would sit at a computer desk; on his fuzzy butt with his legs sticking out and his front paws on the desk itself. Then, he started moving his paws around on the keyboard like he was typing! Guess he wanted to see what it was like.
