DZX Productions the DVD is back in business. Recently Phade (creator of AMV.org) and i had a small discussion which consisted of me possibly writing an AMV 2 DVD guide for AMV.org. I of course accepted, and for the last 4-5 months have been doing extensive research. Today, thanks to the help of MexicanJunior, Castor Troy, and Fluxmeister, i made an enormous breakthrough in the conversion which will help me manipulate and control the frame rates (which we were having issues with before), the PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratios which were also creating small issues) and the most important problem of "the safe zone". As i informed you guys before whenever i did a DVD of AMVs, each amv would have footage cut off from around the borders. Thanks to Castor Troy's endless amounts of trial and error we have found the safe zone and so it's now a simple matter of a few calculations and some AVS coding to get the perfect "safe zone" for your AMV on dvd. So by the end of this month i shall have finished the guide.
Also, as i now have all the equations i need, I am re-opening the DZX Productions the DVD project. Once again I will be needing the top 10-20 videos that everyone thinks should be premiered on the video. My list is as follows (in no particular order):
Advent Reloaded
The One
The Cage
Complete Authority
Hold So Dear
Drown The Monster
The Reload
Death Is No Option
In My Dreams
Into My Eyes
Worst Is Over
Hollow (i'm not self absorbed... >_>)
Never Be Alright
Never Turn Away
Record 1
Something else which AC, SX, and SK know which i am talking about *cough cough*
and of course, Square Linkin Park must be present
So there's 17 off of the top of my head. I'm unsure of how many i may be able to fit on a single disc, so this may become a two disc set, such as "Disc 1: Movie Maker/Ulead Era, Disc 2: Premiere Era".
With the amount of fiddling i've been up to lately with DVD conversions, etc, i will hopefully be able to put "directors commentary" on the DVD, where each creator can record themselves talking about their video as they watch it, and talking about what was going through their head when they created it, etc. Also fan art done by Sam for the PLRPG will be an easter egg on the DVD. If anyone else can think of anything give us a shout.
Needless to say i am excited to have this project back off the ground, and hope it will be finished as close to Christmas as possible so we can all enjoy it ^_^
And as long as the cost of sending isn't too great i may feel generous enough to send everybody a copy, not just the DZX members [which would include our unnofficial Waffle King -_o) but i would also send LCF, SP, FZU, SMTemp, etc, their own personal copies (perhaps even signed by us ).
Rejoice in the art of AMV 2 DVD making ^_^
Hooray for the rebirth of DZX Productions the DVD!
