DZX FORMER HQ (and present day DZX storage location)
4th of July
Open invitation to the group that I am hosting a Garage party in the afternoon and evening before the Rapids fireworks on the 4th of July. Location: Former DZX headquarters on 6th Street (if you get my drift). THIS WEDNESDAY OF COURSE.
Yes. a garage that has floorspace, electricity, functioning (even lockable) doors, shelter from the sun, and maybe even carpet (we'll see if it's in presentable shape). Oh, and fans.
The theme is an amateur rock band motif, with some pretty rough arrangements. A door as a table, a tool-bench as the liquor cabinet, broken dryer as a TV stand, lawn chairs for seating. Fans as, well, imaginary fans. Oh, it'll be beautiful, use your imagination.
The whole yard is available as well, although I think at our age/strength hitting balls over the house isn't one of the condoned activities. If mosquitoes are bad, we simply close the garage door.
I sense the need for more lawn chair type sitting apparatus, so if you have a chair in a bag, please bring one. Bring your own beer because I will not have beer, only hard liquor
I am 90% sure that there will be Tacos for dinner. I plan on getting smashed with the rest of y'all so this seems safe to prepare, inexpensive, and is something that everyone likes.

I unfortunately don't have fireworks this year. It has to do with how dry everything is, and how absolutely nuts rapids has gotten in terms of police city.

Yeah. that will work. or earlier if you really want to get sloshed. Or after 5 if you want cold tacos.
I mean, there will be whiskey up the wazoo, but bring your own beer if that's what you want. I'd recommend the lighter (waterier) beer. Obviously I'm not going to refuse bathroom privileges to those that need it, but it'll be primarily in the garage (because it's my mother's house).
So yes, come on over even if you do work earlier that day and the next morning. Besides I think everyone expects to be a little hung over on thursday morning.

And yes, I approve of first post! As an alternative to the troublemaker balls of yore and base-ket-foo-volley-golf-soc-ten ball, there is at least one completely flat ball that poses salvage value that shouldn't be able to go far.
