I really wanted to show this to all of you while we were up in Wisconsin, but since computer and proximity situations didn't line up, this'll have to do... (Though I've heard that Redwolf has shared the wealth with a few. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) He got the matinee showing, hehe) www.tfsabridged.com/episodes/Dragonball Z Abridged. It makes as much sense as a banana riding a tricycle. ;D

OGOD, a parodies and such thread?! *tosses in a fairly decent amount of GinTama episodes* That anime makes fun of basically everything at some point. Mostly other animes and games, but also a lot of news type things and celebrities (like the real estate collapse here and Jackie Chan) DBZ is on the list a lot. And of course, Mario and various systems: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhA79caYcf0&feature=relatedRPGs are always fun, too: Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEwDwozwlGg&feature=relatedPart 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-N6EL6TneM&feature=relatedI don't recall the episode, but eventually FF7's Cloud has his moment XD I think it was the 'arc' when aliens were turning people into screwdrivers or something.... Random side note: The voice actor for Gintoki in this series is the same guy that does the voice of Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaAlso, if anyone has watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, I HIGHLY suggest you check out the abridged series for that XD ;D

Possible that others saw, but archival! There's plenty of Lego ___ parodies, but here's something relevant to our interests. Think they'll eventually come out with Lego Matrix ala Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, and now Harry Potter? Website: Link

Relevant to the first post... Chris Sabat may be controversial as the official FUNimation voice of Recoome, Vegeta, Yamcha, Piccolo, Zarbon, Jeice, Burter, Salza and others in the DBZ dub, but at least he enjoys what he does and gave us many moments to laugh at and enjoy in various ways.
Well, guess what? ...He openly approves of the Team Four Star DBZ Abridged series! And not only that, but I've discovered that... he had a cameo in the Bardock special!
He did both voices off-screen of the people sending Goku out to space. The "planet Ee-yarth" comment to the "YOU'RE stupid" line. Friggin awesome!
When a famous-person actually appreciates fandom to that level, they're pretty friggin' cool in my book. :3

Ok so... Team Four Star updated their site to have the beginnings of a Wiki. I peeked at it. And under Episodes... I saw the mention of two previous dubbed movies/specials that aren't on their site yet, which said they were to be re-uploaded. So I sprang onto YouTube, and found them! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) You can sneak-peek them here (though keep in mind they're older, especially the first one, so they've changed how they do some of the characters' personalities and such. And they might change a lot for the re-uploads. So think of this as a possible beta viewing!) The Dead Zone (DBZ movie 1) Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5hGnyT2z6QPart 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYfXSizuoiAPart 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHP0viphLn4The World's Strongest (DBZ movie 2) Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLOoIbJYt8MPart 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=acVZqsy7-ZkPart 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_QsNBOL1hoNote: Doesn't the narrator sound pretty cool at the end? ......That's Kyle Hebert! You know... The official DBZ Narrator? Teen Gohan? ....... Kamina?! ;D Hell yeah! That's two FUNimation dudes who support this series! Woohoooo! XD So awesome!

I've been watching famous folks like ProtonJon on YouTube who play through Mario World hacks (among other things) with colorful commentary. ProtonJon is pretty cool, but complains too easily at times. After a while it got to me, so I sought out other random Let's Play (LP) folks. I stumbled upon a video by a dude known as raocow .... and a new favorite was found! The one I actually found had him rather frustrated with a somewhat poorly conceived hack... so his commentary isn't too wild, but had enough randomness to hook me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9KnYyAb12I (4:20 is where it picks up more) But then.... oh, then I checked out better hacks he played, and this man is SO RANDOM.... it might even be TOO RANDOM FOR SOME!!!!!!!!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UYFSvsN1CYThe first in a series where he LP's a 2ch meme-based hack (based on the ASCII art characters Mona and others). If you want to see more in order or others of his craziness, go to his channel and use the Playlists; this one was from VIP 1. Have fun watching if you want to butcher English beyond all recognition and bake it into a wonderful cereal pie with a side of fries and wash it down with a tall steaming cold glass of paperclips! o.o (Sample quotes) "This canon is just kind of there. It's there to show the true meaning of Christmas, and perhaps Johnson. Johnson, always fighting for his meaning, yet's never finding anything more... than potassium." "I sure am filled with Mardi-Gras right now." "This pipe is only a delimitation between truth and honesty." "...and I don't believe in gazelles, so uh, that might put a damper on my dandruff, so to speak." "This level is a thing."

This goes under the commentary part of this thread. Strong language advisory for the first one, but I still think he makes some valid points (especially about Madden/Sports games). He has a whole series, but I have only watched 1 thus far.
If anything, watch until the Final Fight reference near in the 3rd minute and then his long Act Zero rant at near 8 minutes in.
This second one is about the games you remember and impacted your life in some form or way. I seriously want to play Ico and SotC right now... at the same time... as hard as I can, but that's just too much. Always savor the good games!
