I personally am likely not going to attend Detour (or any con at that time) this year, essentially taking a year off. For me I'm doing this because Detour lost its appeal to me when it turned into the big con it is now, and Daisho Con is now everything that Detour used to be (and now is not). I am still planning on doing Cons in the future (in case any of you were scared that I was done conning in general), but next year I'll probably look more to No Brand Con while also continuing attendance at Daisho Con. Also, (and this is the primary reason I'm not going this year) since I'm close to paying off my car and am wanting to save up for an apartment a con would definitely push those plans back for me and I'm most definitely in need of independence. And while I know Sithius can speak for himself, I know he has said that he will also not be able to do Detour this year as well as he is also in need for saving money (for other, much more important, reasons).

C'mon guys! DECIIIIIIIIIIDE PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!! Why are most of yuns ignoring this thread this time around??? What the crap happened to all of you? Iz you zombehz?! Or do y'all just not want to go to either of them??? Either way, make them voices heard so people know if plans should be made or not. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. It's been hard to get responses for this convention, but it sounds like the majority are not going this year. Most of our congoers are AFK from this thread too. >_< At this time, I am still registered and considering still going since I have the hotel. I know I can cancel at any time, but I've been keeping it all open for everyone to decide. Depending on the MSTC crew, I might be their only chance for a hotel room too. Also, NABESHIN!!! Gotta get his autograph for Excel Saga, right? It might also be up to Whicker since he's registered. If he at least wants to go, I'll be going. It was a little late notice for No Brand Con, which is only a week after Anime Detour. I do realize it would be far cheaper for costs and is half way, but it does sound like everyone needs to save money this time around. So save yer wallets and come back next year? Eh? Due to the circumstances, it might be better for wondersaiyan and ZC to look forward to Daisho when everyone will be there.

And while I know Sithius can speak for himself, I know he has said that he will also not be able to do Detour this year as well as he is also in need for saving money (for other, much more important, reasons). Yeah, um...HI GUYS!! I know it's been a while and I haven't been lurking as much as I should. Yes, as Sephy said, I am in dire need of saving money because (drum roll...) I am getting married next September. Woot! ;D Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend Detour but I will be attending Daisho and possibly any others there might be planned. Kate and I have been busy planning things that we want for the wedding and now we are waiting for the Mead Hotel to let us book a date (they won't let us book more than a year in advance so we can't do anything else till then). I apologize for being so tardy on the forums. I know there are a lot of things I have missed (mainly you guys!). And everyone here will get invites to my wedding (except for Sephy, he has a crush on my sister...OK, definitely not Sephy! jk). I really miss you guys and will try as hard as I can to lurk and stuff and keep everyone updated. I wanted to join in on the PLRPG and stuff and am still looking to but I just need help from O'Sqiky (are you alive man? . So yes, I won't be going to Detour but am looking at going to other conventions with everyone. Talk to ya'll soon.

Looks like the MSTC crew has 2 rooms and they are full so no luck with them this year. You guys still going? I still want to go I'd hate for my registration fee to go to waste.

Discussion was had, fisticuffs flew, and our mascot Muffin summoned the Dance of Rage. Sorry all who registered (including me), we will not be attending this year at all. Hard to justify the high costs with few people~ Check back next year? We'll see.

I suppose we can print out and sign the registration transfer sheets and mail them to whomever? I don't think I could or they would accept a transfer to a random stranger, though. (sorry lurkers).
There would be a $5 transfer fee, and you'd have to promise to act true to the Dr Bubba Whicker badge name.

Does anyone know anybody that needs a badge? Transferring would be a better alternative to letting the thing go waste. Just beware that they would be named after Colonel Tigh's missing eye.
