It has started, making a costume for Daishocon. Movie Pyramid Head this time. And of course, it is being done in the cheapest, yet most dramatic Waffle way possible. reference photo! I present to you my new wafflestompers. Imma be taaaaaaaall

besides paint, the boots and apron are done. i'll get some pics soon. until then, onto the helmet! *charges into battle*

yeah, i'm gonna be really tall. boots/apron are done minus the paint here. helmet is just the base mock up right now. need to finalize the shape, get it stabilized, and start putting the clean layer over it.

cut out the visor holes and added extra reinforcement to compensate for the missing chunks. tore apart my old helmet to make the visor for the new one. ah the cycle of life. then the smooth base layer to hide all the tape. squee it actually looks like something!

Sweeeet, nice! (Ooooh, I guess my inaccurate PH drawing from long ago works with the movie version after all. Yay for not needing to edit that. ^_^;; )
Looks like it'll be tough to see though, with that corner now front and center. You sure it's ok with it being so thick?

pssst, guess what... the sticky outy parts are just temporarily taped in place. they'll be painted separately so that i don't over paint parts trying to get into the little cracks. the glued on once everything is dry. iz a happy waffle. ^_____^

So i wanna do something for the next con. I've been drawing a blank this whole time. I need something that I want to do and enjoy, not some random costume, but it also need to be simple due to time/budget constraints. Then it dawned on me, and I had a happy.
