Cosplay Woes

I hate having glasses...

I wanna cosplay a character with an eyepatch, but... well, that'd look funny. @_@

Me and Annette had an interesting convo on that at least...

But anyway... yeah, glasses suck. My eyes simply can't take contact lenses, and those are way too expensive anyway, as is laser surgery n stuffs...

Thar be no hope in this case methinks? T_T (short of having a silly monocle that is)

I still think you should just have the silly monocle XD Or you can tell fellow cosplayers that your medical team found a doner and you had eye-replacement surgery, but the doner had sub-par vision so you need glasses ;D

Sophisticated pirate sounds awesome. It's also pretty easy to find monocles. Also I'm still not sure if I can make it but if I can I asked a couple other members last saturday if they would be interested in doing tetris pieces and we also joked about doing pac-man and the ghosts.

where do you find monocles in southeast ohio? I want one! I actually might one for my steampunk cat costume. i also want something that looks like a badass vintage weapon of some sort. Are those hard to find?

Well, I have yet to see one in real life around here... And even then, I'd need a prescription monocle so I could see. That's the trick there.

ZaCloud Check the great and powerful interweb. And why do your eyes hate contacts? I have sunk in eyes and stigma in one which is suppose to make it really hard but with practice It has gotten easy.

Well, I did look on the interweb, and they have to be custom-made which costs too much money. Plus I know I'd get a tension-headache from having to pinch my brow and cheek together constantly. And finally, they're usually made for far-sighted people and I'm near-sighted. The glass would have to be so thick that it'd be impossible to hold properly on my flesh and it'd be heavy.

And it'd look funny anyway.
