I had an idea: to compile the weirdest in the world of architecture and put it here! this apartment for instance: www.contemporist.com/2009/01/30/a-loft-on-the-lachine-canal-by-l-mccomber-architects/and here's one key picture from it: wouldn't you fall flat on your face to get up for the crying baby at 2AM? Or if you are very tired and you fall down the stairs, wake the baby, and shit yourself becuase you had to take care of the crying, scared baby instead of going to the pot. Oh dear. That would be funny to see that. and no hanky-panky on that bed! don't wanna fall on the baby. Wow how could an architect who is "experienced" overlook this! so this concludes this post. post your architecture wins or fails here!

Well they don't know as many famous architects as you do to submit any, and seem a little busy to look at all the links. Even I could only glance at some of 'em.
But they're all amazing, even the ones that may not be very functional at least look unique (though as you point out, function is important. The first one has both advantages and disadvantages there; would be better if ya don't have a baby or aren't groggy upon awakening... Even sitting up you could hit your head if you're not careful!)
Though some are way sterile and don't feel homey... But there's a lot of amazing engineering going on. I like how that one home manages to let in so much sunlight despite all the obstacles.
The Korean huge-thingie would be totally awesome; so many people connected together, and surrounded with greenery to boot. Would keep the air nice and fresh and allow direct access to small gardens and the like maybe. I'd definitely consider living in such a community.
Cat house = great, I love when things can be customized to suit their instincts and yet still looks fashionable in the house as a whole.
That lamp... so wrong @_@ And such a narrow bed would kill me, lol, even if it does look "neat"
Buildings usually don't interest me, but when they're art such as many of these, they become captivating and amazing. (Or eep-worthy, heh)
