of the world.....
I feel as if alot of things have been more bland lately. Everything from websites (too much of the web2.0 overuse of gaydientz (gradients) and boring blue and white and grey colors) to album covers and "the teen image" (teen stuff is so boring these days (High school musical wtf? snoozefest) and companies taking the attitude out of there image like nintendo who changed their popping red logo to grey (to reflect thier "grown up" image) and the worst change of them all the pepsi logo!
seems so corporate and the yin-yang balance of the logo is thrown off by red (the rebublican party)(specially since the blue has overtaken this country) with what it used to be
it used to look alot more edgy and like a drink, not box1 product company's product1. they totally threw thier brand identity down the toilet.
this image kinda makes me a lil wary as well
becuase it shows how corporate even pop stars have become. this is about as bland as a doctors office self help free brochure cover. but this is supposed to be a hot young teen artist with style and the like and this is how they make her look. snooze. and they have forgettable names that will be forgotten in 15m-1hr like it's just a throwaway product. where have all the catchy acts gone? with awesome names and awesome covers and images and teens were alive and had that spunk that is very lost this day. teens have become too corporate. and so has everyone else.
this all is very odd and I hope people don't become more bland than these examples.
I also think it is a result of apple's ithis campaign people want to be white and boring like them. now eveyone wants an image like apple. and they sacrifice thier own unique and awesome image becuase they think it will give them the success apple got. but it does not work.
clothes have also gotten more bland:
here's an outfit I really like and people used to wear clothes like this on a daily basis:
this is nanase aikawa in case you wonder:
and another
and this is the blah from vanessa h.
people used to look alot more edgy back in like 1999-2001 and now they wear just boring old clothes that have no edge.
