*looks at her pay she just received for the big extra job a while back* *looks at her work schedule* *looks at calendar* *looks at gas prices staying low* *looks at you guys* Guys... I miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight be able to come to Daishocon!  I just left Annette a voice message to see if she can come with; this is absolutely short notice though cuz less than a week and she might not be able to get that time off or a zillion other things might be going on and stuff... But, I can see a 50% chance of myself attending! It'd only be a little over $100 in gas round-trip if I drive nicely. Full reg fee, a little ow but not bad. Hmm... Only problem is lodging, which would strike my possibility figure down quite a bit, unless someone might be able to let me crash at their place for at least half the days or sumfin? I don't eat too much if my metabolism's low and I don't take up much space...  Input anyone? |

If worst comes to worst you can sleep in Crono's trunk and laugh at the portal-esk escape picture on it XD (just kiddin about the trunk part) |

-_-I need a 4 week notice to take time off @_@ Also, given that it's the week before the wonderful BLACK FRIDAY......there would be no chance of me getting that time off even with the notice. Dammit  I can't afford to go anywhere for a while anyway because financial stuffs still suck super bad for me ~_~

Sweeeeet... That aaaaalmost settles it for me...
I just have to now kind of watch my Dad's status (He's very sick, been in the hospital for a week or two... If he's too bad and hasn't been moved to Cleveland Clinic yet then I won't come), and discuss with Mom how badly/soon I need to start paying her back or can she afford $150 or so less than I have to give her.
Annette : I'm so sowwyyyyyy about the short notice, I had no idea it'd even be possible for me until I got my check yesterdaaaaay. T_T I hope you won't hate me for much longer than 20 years. I might stop by and talk to you for a while on the trip day, depending on what time I get going (My sleep schedule's all fudged up so I really have no idea when I'll be awake anymore). Let me know if that's ok and when would be ok.
All : I plan to travel Wednesday at some point, so I'll either get up there between Wed afternoon and midnightish-technically-Thursday. And I'll go back home Monday since I'll need to get work done Tuesday, unless Mom wants to handle it then I can stay till friggin Friday (though I highly doubt it, she could use some time off anyway).
My chances are now 65% likely to go up thar. I'll keep you all posted.

Ok, Dad's in a better hospital and has improved a bit. So all that's left is the lodging. I'm thinking I unfortunately might not be able to get up there till sometime Thursday now, since I got a really late start with work (it's a long story). So that'd be either one or two nights before the con and either one or none after. So I gotta find out: 1- Is the convention hotel only booked for Fri-Sat nights? Or also Sunday? (In other words, checkout Sunday or Monday?) 2- Is there anyone with sleeping space to spare for the days it's not booked? The cheapest hotels I can find in the Rapids area, would still run me about $50/night. Depending on when I end up being able to arrive (and when Daishocon checkout is), that'll be between an extra $50-$150, which could instantly about double my trip cost, thus halving my possibility of still coming up. So, let me know so I know whether to book stuff or not, and when. I'm not really finding appealing the possibility of sleeping on an empty shelf in your local Mooly Mart.  |

I only reserved the room for a Friday check-in and a Sunday check-out. But there should be plenty of room in the hotel room. I didn't realize you'd be staying an extra day. Sorry Sam!  |

Oh don't be sorry about it; you guys didn't need the hotel so much and the con rate is only good for those two days anyway.
Just trying to see what my other options are, at least that's two nights I won't have to spend in a random parking lot or something. ^_^

Ok, since nobody can host me I'll have to poke around at hotels. I was gonna go ahead and either try sticking it out in the car with tons of blankets, or put in earplugs and sleep behind stuff in Mooly-Mart... But Mom is all worried about me and so my younger bro Paul agreed to come along. So, y'all will get to meet him. ^_^ At least now I have a big tough bodyguard, hehe. So anyway, yeah, I'm sure he'd get pissed if we didn't get a proper place to sleep, so I'll have to reserve stuffs. Mom might let me further delay a little more of my car payments in return for the assurance of me having him along so I can hopefully afford it. Working on the hotel stuff now, will post the results. Estimating we'll arrive at Rapids on Thursday between 5 and 9 pm (your times), depending on lotsa stuffs. EDIT: Gonna be at the Econo Lodge on 8th Street South. Cheapest I could find. Probably a dive but better than the backside of packaged computer desks I guess. |

bleh, sewing issues have all but halted my costume making. its pretty much all there, just needs to be put together. new sewing machines in sight, so i guess i'll see if i can use my spare time to hand sew it all. if not, ph might be making yet another comeback after i said it was retired (bret favre ph?) costume or not, me and aforementioned guest will arrive in rapids tonight around 2 am. get ready sithius and redwolf, i bring crazyness!
