...but the job here does.
meh. basically arrived sunday night, settled into bed at midnight, (which is really 1:00 am to you folks in the central timezone). Then got up at 5:30 am, worked (as in mostly stood around) for approximately 12 hours in an orange-lit warehouse (crappy overhead lights).
Then back to hotel after a meal I don't particularly remember.
Then did it all again today.
Then ate dinner again at the same and only restaurant across the street.
Then I'm probably going to do this tomorrow as well, but maybe there's a 1% chance I'll go back in the afternoon.
If you wonder where Sauder furniture in-a-box is manufactured, stop wondering. Not that I get to see many machines, just the stuff dealing with the cardboard box it comes in. Really, just stop wondering. There are little to no trees around here, just soybeans and corn, which makes sense why everything is made from glued-together sawdust.
...and, no, the machine my company makes doesn't work at the speed specified in the signed contract. and no, there's nothing I can do myself to get it to work. And it will take a big amount of luck tomorrow to also not fail their "test" like it did 5 times now.
Meh, software and electricicity can only do so much, especially when the mechanical design is built from pieces resembling what always results from the item creation in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
meh, no need for "that sucks" comments. I already knew what I was getting into. I just didn't know about the "not coming back until it works" part.
meh, like I said, if I'm stuck here, it isn't that bad.
