I just finished this rendering of a reptilian head. I may use these in a game some day. For now though im trying to grow some skillz. ;D The first image shows the progression of the model, or 3 different smothness/subdivide settings. The model on the far left is the origional that is done by hand, then textured (by remixedcat). The middle one has been smothed by wings3d once, and the one on the right has been smothed again. Closeup of the most smoth one.

Hey, I thought I would go ahead and post this one. It isn't textured but it shows the excelent shape of the model pretty well. Its actually an earlier model.

Its been a wile, but I feel as though I should show the world what im doing a bit. I can't afford to go to college for this so I am learning it all on my own. I use Wings3d for modeling and some texturing Photoshop or Gimp for either finishing off the texturing or making textures. (Actually I had Remixedcat make a BUNCH of repeating textures for me. TYVM Remixedcat!) If I decide to render something with realistic lighting I use Kerkythea, which Wings3d can export to fortunatly. ;D This is a screenshot of a castle I made. It is untextured at the moment so it is a WIP. (work in progress) Attachments:

This is a windmill I made a couple days ago. I was playing around with some building styles for the town I wish to model and I decided that this one fits my vision of that town well. Its also a WIP. I believe it would be easier for me to make all of the buildings and quickly color them for now, and once most of them are done I will texture them then. Texturing properly can take longer than modeling... Attachments:

This house is based on a house in Oblivion. I made it about 3 weeks ago and it was the first time I had tried to model that style of house, the Tudor style. This particular screenshot is taken from within the Irrlicht scene editor, Irredit. I decided to use the Irrlicht engine to learn how to make a game and to teach myself game design. It has a good number of features in it and since it is programmed in C++ I can easily program new stuff in. I still need to learn a lot more about programming and get used to using the Irrlicht code before I can make anything resembling a game though lol. Oh yea, its open source so I can easily afford it haha! ;D Attachments:

This is a Georgian style house from 1600's and 1700's London. I did this about a month ago and it was my first attempt at making a realistic house. Honestly it suffered from slicing it into too many components and took 5 days mostly because I was inexperienced in texturing. This is why you texture after you are sure you have the final geometry. I reworked it several times and re textured it every time. This building has 16 unique pieces that are repeated several times. If I had to remake it today I probably would have made it with 7. One piece for the basic house shape, one for the chimney, one window, one door, one dormer, one molding, and one set of white blocks on the side. This was rendered in Kerkythea to give it better lighting. If you look close you can see the repeating parts of the top molding. I should have made it in one piece. Otherwise quite awesome! This took me 2 hours in wings3d last nite! This is a very earthly and exotic house. I love the feel of it. Definitly a good place for a mage to call home. Enjoy this Attachments:

I decided on a town layout for the first town. It will be done on a mountain! ;D I took a screenshot of the terrain and drew out where I wanted everything, then I reapplied the screenshot to the model of the terrain. This made it much easier to place buildings. Later after I have everything placed I will improve the terrain texture and actually make it look like its supposed to look. I have started to populate my first town with buildings. I don't have enough buildings done yet but at least now I can easily tell what I am missing! Wile I work on this town Remixedcat is working on making buildings in a different style to be included in the second country that the game will include. Oh and the windmills are animated already too. BathhouseToComfyhouse-a conversion-copy---remixed by RemixedCat This was a building in CeasarIV That I decided to copy and then remix it in my own way. I also converted it from a bath house to a regular family home. I really love the way it turned out and it took me only 2.5 hours to make this! Attachments:
