Well in regards for getting everyone together here in town to go to Detour here's what I'd suggest.
For Waffles, I'd suggest you go pick him up Sqiky since you're the only person who's actually driven to his college. I dont think it would be appropriate to have Zacloud and Wonder Saiyan drive 10 hours+ to get up here then ask them to drive in various unknown areas to pick us up. Plus by the time they'd hit the state border I'd imagine they'd be getting kind of exhausted from driving so I'd think it best they just drive straight up here.
So I'd suggest Sqiky and Waffles would drive up here together and let Zacloud and Wonder Saiyan get here without interuption.
From there to detour Id imagine we'd have AZ's party-van and Sqiky's car available for transport. So we should be good on getting to Detour from there (AZ's taken the drive there before and its not a complex drive at all until you hit Minneapolis). So pending changes to whom all could attend Detour, that should be the schedule we look at.

Actually, I haven't yet had the chance to visit his college yet. He is about as far away from me as you are, meaning another 4 hour round trip.
I made up the route so there would be no backtracking involved. This way it would be a straight shot. Going any other way would tack lots more time onto Annettes trip.
Keep in mind there is a lot of time before Detour yet. Maybe Waffles will get his own transportation before then.

Alrighty...
The convention price for each of us solely depends on how much the Mid-State Anime and Video Game Club decides to pay for. Now that I finally got around to making the Excel spreadsheet for prices and hotel rates, I can start recommending decisions for the club and DZX.
In the best scenario that I calculated, the entire hotel expenses for 3 hotel rooms for 2 nights ($606.09 to be exact) could be fully paid. This comes from the $89 x 3 rooms x 2 nights.
X, Sithius, and I are part of the MSTC Club - as well as 5+ interested people at the moment. If Sithius could drive some members, we'll have at least an extra vehicle or two.
Any discussion on how we should divide the costs, people, and hotel rooms? The club budget at the moment stands at over $1000, so it is entirely possible. If we register at least 10 people at once, we can save $5 per person.

Hmmm... Well, I'm sure Annette will agree with me, I'm not keen on rooming with a buncha strangers, so we'd like to stick with familiar DZXers on our end. I mean we can have a club member or two or whatnot maybe, depending on how many per room and stuff, but still we'd like the familiar:unfamiliar ratio to be higher on the first number. (We mostly talk to Waffles, Sephy, and Sqiky, so they get the most points in that regard) As for the club thing, that'd be pretty cool indeed. But AC, are you saying they're willing to include a sidegroup of your friends in the cost and stuff? If so I am obligated to glomp them with permission at some point.  |

Update time!!!! just got done reserving the rooms for detour. with the people from the MSTC Anime Club attending, we have 3 rooms with 2 double beds in each of them, all next to eachother. its reserved, so we got em for the nights of friday and saturday like we did last year. updating top list, check it out.

WOOT! Rooms provided for free!   With that said, lodging is officially taken care of and paid for. One less check off the list of things to do for Detour. ;D All we need to do now is arrange the travel plans. Also, since we have three rooms, theres now a possibility of having a DZX video showing room or something of that nature. All video authors in DZX, please respond! And to sithius, I can't wait to meet everyone. Onward to Detour! |

Thanks for all the preplanning, Waffles! I was so worried that the hotel had no vacant rooms (according to the hotel website). They must have limited the website so that people have to call in for reservations. Don't worry ZC, we wouldn't stick you in a room with 6 complete strangers. I've had that happen for a school trip once and it wasn't fun at all since they were so different and older than me. *Glomp* On to Detour!  |

They might not be open for reservations yet. I know Acen isn't taking reservations at the hotel yet. >.< But the Artist Alley at Detour is all filled up  and I didn't know that they were taking people until it was too late. >.< So now I'm on a waiting list. grrr A lot of the cons this year are very unorganized in the Artist Alley area. Are any of you guys going to be submitting any videos again this year?  I think that "Big Head" video of yours should be submitted to the WTF contest ^_^ I'm sooo going to that again this year. |

OK Everyone! I need to know who has already registered and who has not. If we're gonna register as a group and get the discount to drop the reg price down to $25, we gotta do it before december 31. it would probably be easier to register as a group if we had one person get everyone's info and do it all at once. so yeah, go.

well il be going as well with my own room for me and my gf , if any one wants to meet up with me while im there give me a call ^^ , its still the number every one has , i live about 45 min away so il be heading out on thursday if i can get off from work , itl be good to see every one again , oh and comander we need to play some beatmania lol
just wanted to add something waffles my hats off to you on the planing , awsome job man
