Prodigi sat meditating on the roof of Midgar’s highest skyscraper. Images began to flicker through his mind.
A room with strange blue symbols on the walls. A strange red haired man surrounded by drifters. A figure in a black cloak disappearing into the shadows. A strange feline creature tied to a chair. 2 spiky-haired people crouched in a prison cell.
Prodigi opened his eyes. There was more in this city than he had first anticipated. His eyes glistened. This city was so full of potential. He stood slowly and walked forwards to the edge of the skyscraper and stared out over the bustling city. Suddenly he cocked his head. He listened intently to the silence. He could here words on the wind, “I… I can’t see anythi…” then suddenly he could smell it. He stood enjoying the scent. It was the smell of fear. Then suddenly he felt a surge of power and he collapsed to his feet. What the hell, he thought. He stood and listened intently again. He heard gunshots. Silence. Then a sudden inhuman scream broke the silence. Prodigi felt the surge of power again. Someone or something powerful was out there. Slowly he leaned forward off the edge of the roof and fell silently into the darkness. __________
In a dark alley a drifter looked at his comrade, and then to his attacker. As he was looking back a gloved hand gripped his neck and lifted him off the ground. Pyramid Head placed his foot on the head of the hurt drifter on the ground, he started to apply pressure to both of them. He stood silent for a moment thinking. Then he dropped the dead drifters and made his way back into the shadows. __________
Prodigi fell silently through the night slowly twisting his body readying himself for impact. The ground was rushing towards him at phenomenal speed until, smack, he landed on the concrete. He straightened himself and made his way down the alley at a blurring speed. Suddenly he emerged into an alleyway filled with the flashing blue and red lights of the police. In the centre of the alley Prodigi could see the reason for the commotion. There were 3 dead drifters in the centre of the alleyway. One of them had been crushed into the pavement. Another had had his leg broken and his face pulverised. The last one had had his whole head crushed completely. Prodigi watched the police from the shadows. He could feel the lingering trace of a horrifying power. It led down another alleyway into the shadows. Quickly and quietly Prodigi made his way down the alleyway, hoping that it wasn’t too late.

the echoes of a heavy footfall and scraping metal float in the alleyway. He knew he was being followed, and not by any ordinary person. Maybe this city was getting a little more interesting. He didn't sense fear or hatred, so maybe this one would prove to be entertaining. But first, a test. Pyramid Head pivoted to face behind him and his approaching persuer.
A low hum, the faint and distorted sound of chanting arose out of nowhere. Seemingly from the shadows and ground a lying figure faded into existense. It looked human, but not quite. It stood up; its torso, crossed arms, and head looked as if it were covered in a streatchy bag of skin. The arms useless it opened what would be its mouth and hissed. This creature, comparitivly much weaker than Pyramid Head, slowly shuffled forward, looking for someone to feast upon.

Prodigi stopped running down the alleyway and closed his eyes. He frowned. Now there were two power sources. He didn’t like it. He looked up and saw that there were beams running between the buildings on either side of the alleyway. He ran forward and launched himself straight up, five meters, onto one of the beams. He made his way forth swiftly, leaping from beam to beam. After rounding a few corners he came to halt and looked down. There was a strange creature in the centre of the alleyway. It looked human, but not quite. It stood up; its torso, crossed arms, and head looked as if it were covered in a stretchy bag of skin. It’s arms looked useless and it’s power level seemed comparatively weaker than the power level Prodigi had sensed before. He had no time for this weak creature. He closed his eyes and focused. He could feel a strong power level. He looked down at the creature. Surely it couldn’t be this creature could it? No, Prodigi thought. He was certain he could sense two power levels. Slowly his eyes wandered the alleyway until they settled upon a figure in the shadows. Prodigi couldn’t make it out properly, all that he could tell was that it’s head, if you could call it a head, was looking right in his direction. Slowly the pyramid shaped head lowered and then raised itself again, resembling a crude nod. Fine, Prodigi thought, I’ll play your game. He dropped silently off of the beam and landed without a sound behind the strange creature in the centre of the alleyway. The strange creature slowly turned itself to face Prodigi. It opened what would be it’s mouth and hissed at him. Prodigi grunted in displeasure. He slowly reached up and curled his left hand around the handle of his sword which was attached to the back of his left shoulder. Just as slowly he reached down and curled his right hand around the handle of his sword which was hanging off of the left of his hip. Quick as a flash he pulled the swords from their sheaths. He held the right sword above his head facing forward, and the left straight ahead, the blade pointing directly at the strange creature. He grunted. The creature in the shadows leaned on his sword preparing to watch the battle unfold.

The strange creature shuffled forward. Prodigi leaned backwards putting most of his weight on his back foot. Prodigi changed his grip on the sword in his right hand and then threw the sword at the creature. The creature squealed as the sword punctured the left side of his chest. Straight in the heart, Prodigi thought. The creature collapsed backwards on the concrete. The figure in the shadows didn’t move. Prodigi walked forward and began to pull his sword out of the creature. Suddenly it’s hand reached up and gripped Prodigi’s neck. The creature pulled itself towards Prodigi, opening it’s would be mouth. Quick as a flash Prodigi unholstered his DEagle and levelled it at the creature’s chest. Bang. The creatures grip on Prodigi’s neck loosened. Bang. The creature refused to let go. Bang, bang, bang. The creature’s arm fell loosely to the ground. Prodigi holstered his DEagle and pulled his sword out of the creature. He turned to the figure in the shadows and pointed his swords blade at it. The figure in the shadows seemed to be looking past Prodigi. What the hell, he thought. He began to turn around when suddenly the stretchy arms of the creature threw themselves around Prodigi, gripping his sword and turning it against him. Prodigi stood wrestling with the creature behind him, his sword pointing straight at his stomach. He looked over his shoulder and saw the creature open it’s would be mouth, and bring it towards his head. Prodigi gritted his teeth together and then thrust his sword into his stomach. The sword passed through Prodigi and then into the creature behind him. The creature squealed as the sword passed through it. Prodigi rammed his head backwards and effectively head-butted the creature stunning it momentarily. He moved his body backwards against the creatures and ran them both backwards until their bodies slammed into the wall. The force effectively causing the sword to lodge itself into the wall. The creature behind Prodigi squealed and thrashed behind him, trying to get free. Prodigi unholstered his DEagle and placed it alongside the creatures head. Bang. The creature stopped thrashing. Prodigi pulled the sword out of him and the creature. He sheathed his sword and turned around. The creature twitched every few seconds. He holstered his DEagle and then raised his hand to what was left of the creature’s chest. His hand began to glow red as he charged a fire ball. Suddenly the ball shot out of his palm and into the creature. The creature convulsed suddenly, and then it’s whole body exploded. Prodigi turned away from the mess and looked for the figure in the shadows. It was gone. He collapsed to his knees and looked at his stomach. It was coated in blood. Stupid, he thought, I should have held onto that cure materia. He collapsed onto the ground and rolled over. He stared at the blue moon overhead. Suddenly his head fell backwards against the concrete and he passed out.
Clunk-clunk-clunk. Footsteps were heard throughout the alleyway, the heavy footfalls of Pyramid Head. He stepped out from deep within the shadows and stood above Prodigi. He paused for a moment thinking, and then...

Pyramid Head stood looking down at the unconscious Prodigi. He couldn't kill him while he was like this, others maybe, but not him. He was different, maybe even entertaining. Pyramid Head grabbed Prodigis collar and dragged him into the shadows.
Prodigi awoke inside of a derilect warehouse, the stench of death saturated the air. Crates of all sizes scattered about. Strange glowing symbols were plastered on everything; walls, the ceiling, even the floor and illuminated the room with an dim red light. All of the crates had been pushed towards the walls, leaving a huge open space in the center of the building. in the center of the room was the same glowing symbol, at least 20 yards in width, which Prodigi was in the center of. Pyramid Head crouched on the edge of the symbol. He kept drumming his fingers on the blade of his giant sword that was leaning on his shoulder, tip on the ground.
In front of Prodigi lay assorted midical supplies, some conventional others of a more magical callibur. Pyramid Head speaks in a strange, grainy voice, seeming to have no deffinite source it echos from all around, "I'm not going to kill you untill your healed, its more fun that way." He just stares at Prodigi, waiting.

Prodigi stared across the room at Pyramid Head. Pyramid Head drummed his fingers on his sword. Suddenly he spoke, the voice seemingly coming from all around Prodigi, “I’m not going to kill you until your healed, it’s more fun that way.” Pyramid head stood and silently made for the door. When he reached it he turned back to Prodigi, “Don’t even think about escape, that symbol isn’t just for show,” he said pointing at the giant symbol on the floor. He turned and left Prodigi alone to tend to his wound. After Prodigi had cleaned up most of his wound with magic and had bandaged what was left of it he stood. He checked his surroundings. The symbol was everywhere, on crates, walls, even the floor. He stepped forward cautiously. Nothing happened. He took another step. Nothing. He slowly made his way for the door, crossing the room cautiously. Suddenly a great wall of energy pushed him backwards as he began to step off of the symbol. He slowly sat up and grunted, holding his injury. He looked up and saw that there was a sky-light above. “If I can’t go sideways,” he thought, “then I’ll just go up”. He closed his eyes and concentrated on moving his Ki underneath him, effectively causing him to hover off of the ground. Then in a concentrated burst he shot himself upwards towards the skylight. A great white wall began to form over Prodigi and his eyes widened in shock. Suddenly the wall of energy hit him and threw him back to the floor. “What did I tell you about escape?” came a voice from no-where, echoing all around Prodigi. He sat up and clutched his stomach. He could feel the frustration building inside him. He stood slowly and began to charge a fireball in his palm. He drew back his fist and threw the ball of fire. The white wall formed again and destroyed the fireball. Prodigi could feel the anger and frustration bubbling inside him. He formed a fireball in both fists and then brought his hands together, firing off a combined blast. The same thing happened. Pyramid Head stepped out of the shadows and watched Prodigi. Prodigi lowered his head and closed his eyes while Pyramid Head gave off a hollow laugh. His hands began to shake as the anger and frustration became too much. Slowly he raised his head and opened his eyes staring across the room at Pyramid Head. Pyramid Head’s laughter stopped immediately as soon as he saw Prodigi’s eyes. Prodigi’s eyes had no pupils, no iris and no white. The whole of his eyes had gone over black. Pyramid Head cocked his head to the side watching Prodigi. Suddenly a fire like glow began to radiate off of Prodigi. His hair started glowing until suddenly it flashed from purple/grey to fiery red. He reached up and pulled his top off. Underneath red feathers were growing out of him. His tail swished out of his pants and the fur changed colour from grey to a fiery red. Prodigi’s eyes slowly began to glow, and then suddenly changed colour again, turning fiery red. Suddenly Prodigi let off a burst of energy which ricocheted off the walls of energy until, crack, the walls of energy gave way to Prodigi’s immense power. “Impressive,” muttered Pyramid Head in awe, then quickly changed his tone, “But that’s nothing compared to THIS!”
Suddenly…

Pyramid Head drops his sword to his side, the large blade kicking up a cloud of dust. He holds his arms out to the side slightly and angles his head upward. The sound of deep voices chanting began to fill the warehouse. A drop of blood streaked down the monstrous red head, a few from his neck, then arms. Soon his entire body seemed to be seeping blood. The drops from his head came to its edge...but they didnt fall or drip, the rolled under and continued down his body even traveling up at times. The blood reached his feet and the streaks started to crawl across the floor in all directions. The chanter grew louder and the speed of the spreading blood grew faster. Pyramid Head was completely covered, still standing there with outstreached arms. The blood enveloped everything, it ran up crates and walls. It smothered the light from the skylight and symbols. It reached Prodigi's feet and started to encase him as well. He sturggled to wipe it off but it wouldn't stop. He let loose a fireball at the squirming ground, but it had no effect. The blood reached his face and covered it, everything went black. The chanting didn't stop, it was only accompanied by strange muffled voices and groans. Suddenly everything echoed off into silence.
A few of the dirty flourecent lights flickered to life on the ceiling, illuminating only a small portion of the room. Prodigi sat up in shock, he had been lying on the ground. He looked down at himself, the blood was gone. he glanced around, the skylight was boards, chain, and whatever may have been lying around. He looked back, the huge sliding door was just gone...like it had never existed, only a dirty, rusted wall. In an instant a huge fire flared up on the other side of the room in a large metal dish, speading light throughout the entire building. Pyramid Head standing in front of it, his staggered shadow reaching up to Prodigi.
He had stumbled into a nightmare. The crates were gone, replaced with rusted streachers and wheelchairs. The two longer walls were lined with metal rectangular frames, all put at even intervals, each contained a disfigured corpse. The streached skin held to the frame with nails, limbs tied to the corners with dirty rope. The ceiling was decorated with bodies bound in straight jackets, nuses made from barb wire suspended them in the air. Rather than gurders and beams to hold the walls together, the gaps were filled with pulsing flesh as if there were a great heart somewhere keeping it alive. Everything seemed like it had been sitting stagnant for years on end. The smell was still there.
Prodigi stood up and looked around as Pyramid head took a few steps forward. Prodigi's attention snapped to his enemy. "Now, we play in my house..." Pyramid Head said as he readied his great knife, chuckling.
